How it works

Read this first. It walks the entire life of a tournament — from typing in your teams to crowning a champion — and points you at the page that covers each part in depth.

EasyBracket.gg is a bracket generator you can run an event on. You add teams, pick a format, and it builds the bracket and works out the maths: how many rounds, who gets a bye, who plays whom next. From then on your only job is entering results. Everything else — advancing winners, updating the table, refreshing the spectators' page — happens on its own.

The flow, start to finish

Create the tournament
Give it a name and a game, pick one of the five formats, and add your teams — type them one by one or paste a whole list. Elimination brackets run on powers of two, so if you bring 12 teams it builds a 16-slot bracket and hands out 4 byes. You don't create empty slots yourself.

Seed it
Seeding decides who plays whom in round 1. Keep your list order, shuffle it randomly, or drag teams into place by hand. Byes always go to the top seeds. League formats — round robin, Swiss, group stage — don't need seeding, because the format itself decides the pairings.

Share the link
Turn on public sharing and you get a link and a QR code. Anyone can follow the bracket live without an account, on any device, and the page refreshes itself — nobody has to reload. Print the QR, or drop the link in a Discord before the event.

Run the matches
Enter each result as it comes in; the winner advances automatically and the next match fills in. You can mark a match live, schedule it for a time and a court, and fix a mistake by resetting a result. If you'd rather not be the bottleneck, let participants report their own results and just approve them.

Watch the standings
League formats keep a table that updates itself: points, head-to-head, goal difference, Buchholz for Swiss. You choose the tiebreaker order, so the table settles ties the way your event's rules say it should.

Finish and keep it
The champion is crowned automatically when the last match lands. Export the bracket or the schedule as a PDF to print, or as Excel/CSV for your records. Without an account, a tournament lives in your browser and expires after 30 days — creating one (free) keeps it.

Two of the formats run in two phases: a group stage, and Swiss with a playoff cut. You play the league part first, then EasyBracket builds a bracket out of the final standings, and the flow above picks up again from there.

Pick a format

Five formats cover almost every event. Single elimination is the fastest and the harshest. Double elimination gives everyone a second life. Round robin is the fairest and the longest. Swiss gets you a ranking from a big field without eliminating anyone. Group stage guarantees several matches, then cuts to a bracket.

Signing up is free too, and it does two things — it keeps your tournaments past the 30-day expiry that anonymous ones have, and it unlocks the extras: a custom share link, team logos, sponsor banners, and turning off the watermark on shared images.
