EasyBracket.gg ("we", "us") runs the tournament bracket platform at easybracket.gg. This policy explains what data we collect, why, who processes it for us, and the choices you have.

What We Collect

Account data: your email address and display name when you sign up, or the basic profile Google or Facebook shares if you sign in with them.
Tournament data: tournament names, team lists and match scores you enter. Tournaments created without an account are stored on our servers, linked to an anonymous session.
Session data: an authentication cookie that keeps you signed in.
Usage data: page views counted by Umami without cookies and, only if you accept, Google Analytics.
Technical data: IP address and request details processed by our hosting and security providers, and error reports (without personal data) sent to Sentry.
Purchase data: if you buy an Event Pass or Pro, Polar processes the payment. We receive the purchase status and your email, never your card details.

How We Use Your Data

To run the service and keep your tournaments accessible.
To send account-related emails (email verification, password reset).
To show ads on free accounts and tournaments, which keeps the core product free. Pro and Event Pass tournaments are ad-free.
To measure usage (Google Analytics only with your consent) and to prevent abuse, for example by rate-limiting repeated requests.
We do not sell your personal data.

Who Processes Data for Us

We use these providers to run the site. Each one processes data only for the purpose listed.

Cloudflare: Content delivery, security and bot protection
Polar: Payments for the Event Pass and Pro (merchant of record)
Sentry: Error monitoring, without personal data
Upstash: Rate limiting to prevent abuse
Umami: Cookieless page-view statistics
Google Analytics: Usage analytics, only with your consent
Google AdSense, Adsterra: Advertising on free accounts and tournaments
Google, Facebook: Optional sign-in

Advertising

Free accounts and tournaments show ads from Google AdSense and Adsterra. These networks may use cookies or similar technologies to show, limit and measure ads, under their own privacy policies. You can manage Google's ad personalisation at myadcenter.google.com. Pro subscribers and Event Pass tournaments see no ads.

Data Retention

Tournaments created without an account are deleted automatically after 30 days without activity. Account data is kept until you delete your account, which you can do at any time from Settings; this also deletes your tournaments. Polar keeps purchase records as required for tax and accounting.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR in the EU/EEA and the UK), you can ask to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, object to or restrict its processing, and withdraw consent at any time. Email [email protected] and we will reply within one month. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Analytics cookies are only set after you click Accept in the consent banner. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing "cookie-consent" from this site's local storage (browser DevTools → Application → Local Storage).

Ad networks (Google AdSense, Adsterra) may set their own third-party cookies on pages that show ads. They are not listed above because those providers set and control them.
